Due to the recent outbreak of the disease known as gastroenteritis the Executive Chairman Eti_Osa local Government, Hon Saheed Adesegun Bankole has advised the residents of the community to be conscious of their environment, make it clean always and ensure proper hygiene like regular washing of hands after using the toilets. He made this known during his media tour of projects to Mayegun Aro Town and Lafiaji on Tuesday. He said even measures such as proper disposal of refuse and good drinking water should be adhered to.
In addition to this ,he advised that if there is any case of victim having diarrhoea and vomiting the affected person(s) should visit the nearest Primary Care health centers in the environ for proper medical treatment.
He thereby promised the populace of Eti-Osa that adequate health measures have been taken to curb the menace of the deadly disease among young and old. Bankole stated that Health Personnels now visit houses, hospitals, research centers to take reports of victims in the community and give immediate attention. Pls remember that health is wealth. Do not claim ignorance of this deadly disease as the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Health has created a lot awareness on the print, electronics media and infact social media.

Speaking on the construction of both sides concrete drainage and road rehabilitation going on along the Gbara Mayegun road linking Lekki Epe Express Road, he reiterated on the need for residents to cooperate with the contractors on site so as to achieve better results. He thereafter solicited for their perseverance as the road would have to be shut down for 3 weeks to facilitate it’s timely completion. Pleading with the people to bear with any inconveniences this may cause. Hon. Bankole opined that the commencement date of the closure will be communicated later given the notion that it would be widely publicised.
